Back at it!

Viime viikkoina olen päässyt jo ihan oikeantuntuisen treenin pariin ja määrätkin alkavat lähennellä vuoden takaisia. Edelleen on todettava, että vaikka mistään kisakunnosta ei todellakaan voi puhua, on toipuminen ja kuntoutuminen edennyt todella nopeasti ja käytännössä ilman mitään takapakkia näiden kuukausien aikana sairaalasta päästyäni. Olen maailman onnellisin siitä, että voin urheilla ja liikkua, tehdä näitä itselleni rakkaita ja tärkeitä asioita jo mukavalla fiiliksellä ja edes tavallisen kuntoilijan tasolla. Hauska on odotella lokakuista Vaarojen maratonia ja maaliskuista Vasaloppetia, joihin on vielä hyvä aika rakentaa pohjaa ja vähän jopa yläpään konettakin kasaan, jos ja kun alkaa huvittaa mennä peruslenkkivauhtia kovempaa. Tässä parin viimeisimmän viikon treenit:

Finally I feel like being back at it for real. I’ve gotten into a shape that allows me to train almost like I used to before the myocarditis. I’m so happy to have recovered well and basically without any setbacks and to have moved on from being a heart patient into being an active person training almost every day. In october I’m due to run a trail marathon in the Marathon of Dangers in Koli (Eastern Finland) and then experience Vasaloppet for the first time in march. At the moment I’m not yet allowed to do real intervals or to race, but the base building goes well. Here’s my training during the past few weeks:

Training week 22 (29.5.-4.6.)

monday 29.5. (work 11.30-20.15)

am: Roller skiing, classic 12km / 49min + mtb 25,5km / 1h20min

Easy 6am double poling + easy riding to work a couple of hours later

pm: mtb 24km / 1h8min

Easy (and tired) home from work. Back home at 10pm, loooooooong day..

tuesday 30.5. (work 12-20.15)

am: nordic walking/running  6,5km / 47min

Super easy. Tired from yesterday.

pm: gym 46min

wednesday 31.5. (work 10-18)

pm: running 7,5km / 44min

Hilly after work run with a very tired feeling.

thursday 1.6. (work 8-16)

pm: orienteering 4,5km / 1h5min

Lost!

friday 2.6. (no work)

am: running with poles on trails and in a svamp 20,5km / 2h34min

A very good feeling all the time. No sign of legs getting tired or anything 🙂

pm: gym 42min

saturday 3.6. (no work)

am: roller skiing classic 24km / 1h39min + cycling 20,5km / 50min

Steady and nice combo. Roller skiing with a thought on technique all the time. Feeling good and surprisingly strong. Biking very easy just to shake out the legs a bit.

sunday 4.6. (work 11-17)

am: roller skiing classic (easy, some bigger uphills) 14km / 57min

Just some easy roller skiing in a quite hilly terrain.

pm: mtb 24,5km / 1h20min

Riding home from work. TIRED.

total: 14h41min / 183km 

running 39km / 5h8min, cycling 94,5km / 4h38min, roller skiing 50km / 3h25min, gym 1h28min

Training week 23 (5.6.-11.6.)

monday 5.6. (no work)

am: warm up jog 4km / 23min + gym 1h5min

Tired, bored and weak spaghetti arms.

pm: uphill running with poles (“elghufs”) 8km / 1h

Tired, bored and out of shape in the beginning, happy and strong when warmed up.

tuesday 6.6. (work 8-14)

pm: stair climbing + running 6km / 45min + cycling 24,5km / 1h

Walking up Pispala stairs, running down fast (3.00-3.15min / km). Good legs! Easy cool down cycling.

wednesday 7.6. (work 9-13.30 in Helsinki + travelling there and back)

pm: roller skiing, classic 16,5km / 1h6min + cycling 44km / 1h47min

Sooooo nice and sunny, but really windy. Happy girl, legs hurting from the stairs yesterday.

thursday 8.6. (work 11.30-20)

rest day!

friday 9.6. (work 11.30-20)

am: roller skiing, classic 14km / 58min

Incl. 8*1min fast db / 2min recovery. Not the best day ever.

saturday 10.6. (work 9-16)

pm: mtb 35km / 1h58min

Easy sunny ride with my dad.

sunday 11.6. (work 11-17)

am: roller skiing, classic 17km / 1h4min

Easy skiing with some hills.

pm: nordic walking / running 6km / 42min

Being at work 6 days a week makes little girls really TIRED.

total: 11h50min / 175km

running: 24km / 2h 51min, cycling 103km / 4h 44min, roller skiing 47,5km / 3h8min, gym 1h5min
